Creative Coding Barcelona
→ Creative Coding Barcelona is a community exploring the creative possibilities of coding and technology. Its mission is to share knowledge and inspiration and inspire multidisciplinary collaborations. The collective welcomes everyone, regardless of programming experience or technical background. We organise informal gatherings providing a space for members to showcase projects, discuss topics of interest, and connect with others who share their passions.
Open Call: push();
The Generative Art Museum, with the support of the Department of Culture of the Government of Catalonia, opens the call for push(); a programme for artists, creators, collectives and creative developers working in digital art, creative coding, open-source culture and contemporary technological practices.
push(); is designed for existing digital art projects, offering guidance, training and mentorship to help them grow, move beyond their current stage of development and become more professionalised. It places special emphasis on creative coding and technology as artistic media, grounded in open-source technologies and the principles of open culture.

[Kneading Patterns: Live Coding in Strudel]
with

→ 27-06-2026 11:00 @ PAU ⇗
Rda. de Sant Pau, 47, Eixample, 08015, Barcelona
This beginner-friendly workshop introduces Strudel as a browser-based live coding environment for making musical patterns with code. Using the metaphor of kneading dough, participants will learn how small musical ideas can be shaped, stretched, folded, layered, and transformed over time. We will move through the basics of Strudel’s pattern language, explore rhythm and repetition, experiment with live transformations, and learn how to bring sounds into Strudel using built-in samples and imported audio. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to create basic Strudel patterns, understand how cycles and mini-notation work, transform patterns through repetition and variation, use built-in sample banks, import or access external sounds, and perform a short evolving live-coded musical sketch. Participants should bring a laptop and headphones. No installation is required.

ferestecs presents a weekend in nature with Andy Quitmeyer (Dinalab). A small group of artists, creators, engineers and curious explorers will come together to collectively hack technology and nature. For a few days, we’ll live, code, walk and work together in a natural environment, setting up a temporary outdoor lab.

Acknowledgments
Creative Coding Barcelona started around 2020, 2020, growing organically as an offshoot of the Creative Coding Berlin community. It emerged from shared conversations, open meetups, and a desire to bring the same spirit of experimentation, code, and artistic exploration to Barcelona. In 2024, the collective entered a new chapter under the leadership of The Generative Art Museum, with an expanded vision that connects the local community to a broader ecosystem around generative art, exhibitions, education, and long-term cultural impact.
